What is food for the people?
This site was created with the intention of keeping track of recipes we try and try and use on a regular basis in our household. This way we can add notes on what failed, if the recipe was a success, and how it was modified to accommodate for missing ingredients.
Why Online?
- Easier to share with friends and family.
- Can look up recipes when grocery shopping.
- Ego.
The name and “philosophy”
There are many food blogs which are supposedly done by every day working people but contain professional grade photos, and feature recipes with 100s of ingredients - not all of them readily available or useful for other recipes. This site is the antithesis. The goal here is to keep it simple and down to earth. We enjoying cooking and good food, but we don’t have much time or money to spend on extravagant meals. Also we are stingy. We are the People and the food revolution has begun!
